Symetra Promotes Wes Severin to VP-Key Accounts in Retirement Sales

BELLEVUE, Wash. — Symetra Life Insurance Company has promoted Wes Severin to vice president of Key Accounts in its Retirement Sales organization.

In his new role, Severin will be responsible for managing the distributor relationships that drive the majority of Symetra’s annuity sales. He reports to Richard LaVoice, executive vice president of Retirement Sales and Distribution at Symetra.

Severin has served as Symetra’s western divisional sales manager for retirement products since March 2011. In this position, he was responsible for sales planning and day-to-day management and training of external wholesalers covering the western United States. Before joining Symetra, Severin was national sales director of financial institution markets at Great-West Life & Annuity Insurance Company in Denver. He previously was a financial advisor with Simmers Capital Management.
