Symetra Names Harry Monti to Lead Group Life and Disability Income Insurance Operations

BELLEVUE, Wash.—Symetra Life Insurance Company today announced that Harry Monti will lead operations for its group life and disability income insurance business. As vice president of Group Life and Disability Operations, Monti will be responsible for leading the unit’s administration and claims functions. He will be based in Symetra’s Enfield, Conn.,office.

Monti joins Symetra with 25 years of broad financial, operations and strategic experience both in-house and as a consultant. Most recently, he was director, Insurance Advisory Services with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) in Hartford, Conn., providing advice and support to group benefits clients on administrative, claims and strategic issues. Prior to PwC, he spent 13 years in senior level operational and claims roles within The Hartford’s group benefits, retirement plans and enterprise-wide shared services organizations. He also has held financial management roles at MassMutual in Springfield, Mass., and UNUM in Portland, Maine.

Monti earned a bachelor of science degree in accounting from Thomas College in Waterville, Maine. He is a certified public accountant (CPA) and a fellow of the Life Management Institute (FLMI).
