Focused on building Leadership, Equity and Teamwork skills through Sports, LETS Play by Symetra engages students during PE class.

LETS Play by Symetra brought joy and inspiration to 53 fourth graders at Tiffany Park Elementary School in Renton, Washington, during the fall of 2024.
Launched in 2022, LETS Play focuses on building Leadership, Equity and Teamwork skills through playing Sports, annually adopting one fourth-grade class from a Title I school in the Seattle area. A collaboration with our partners at the Seattle Storm and Seattle Kraken, the program’s four-week curriculum engages students during PE class, blending the fun of sports with skills-building lessons that can help set young students up for future success, in school and in life.
LETS Play sessions include basketball skills clinics hosted by the Seattle Storm, hockey skills clinics led by the Seattle Kraken, and engaging Q&A sessions with team players and leaders. The program culminates in a memorable field trip to Climate Pledge Arena, where students receive a private tour of the arena, complete with visits to the Kraken and Storm locker rooms and a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to skate on NHL ice.
Symetra also makes a $1,000 donation to the participating school for every Storm and Kraken home win during the teams’ regular seasons, donating over $90,000 to LETS Play schools since 2022.
LETS Play by Symetra continues to be a cornerstone of our community programming, bringing together sports, education, and empowerment to create lasting memories and meaningful impact.
Moments of impact
For many students, LETS Play’s Climate Pledge Arena visit was full of firsts: first time to the arena, first time lacing up skates and stepping out onto the ice, first time having an opportunity to meet players and leadership from both the Seattle Kraken and Seattle Storm.

Seattle Kraken
We’re proud to be the first Founding Partner of the Seattle Kraken. We’re working together to make a lasting and positive impact on youth, with a focus on leadership, equity and teamwork.
Storm/RAVE Foundation
We’re partnering with the Seattle Storm and the RAVE Foundation on RAVE’s “26 x 26” initiative to build 26 sports fields by 2026 in historically marginalized communities throughout Washington. The campaign’s name is a nod to the FIFA World Cup tournament being held in the U.S. in 2026.
The partnership celebrated the opening of the second field in Renton at Tiffany Park in July 2024. Work continues on additional projects.
